Iran is prepared to reinitiate atomic discussions with the United States as long as it is approached with "dignity" and "respect", Iran's top diplomat has announced.

Abbas Araghchi said exclusively dialogue produced results, and disclosed new appeals had been made by mediators to resume talks with the US government. He claimed Iran did not have unreported enrichment locations, and Tehran was not yet able to permit the global atomic watchdog to access bombed nuclear sites for protective measures.

Navigating a Complex Course

Araghchi is navigating a challenging route since Iran wishes not to be seen to be operating from a position of disadvantage, and he consistently maintained that Iran had emerged more resilient militarily and mentally from the joint assault on its atomic facilities in June.

He was addressing at a defense forum in Tehran where he reiterated that Iran had "an inalienable right to enrich uranium within its borders that it will always maintain" – the primary cause of the stalemate in the prior discussions.

Prior Talks Unexpectedly Terminated

The previous five rounds of discussions between the United States and Iran were ended suddenly and bitter termination on 12 June when Israel, with American backing, struck Iranian nuclear sites in a fortnight-long engagement that concluded with Donald Trump claiming the sites had been eliminated. Subsequently, EU nations employed their authority to reimpose international penalties, but Iran maintains they have not had a substantial consequence.

Magic Solution Suggested

Iran's diplomats said they felt they had attained a "perfect agreement" to the uranium processing matter in previous talks, when it was decided an domestic cooperative with American involvement could enrich uranium. Both sides would have been able to claim victory since domestic enrichment would have remained and the US could be confident that Iran's enrichment initiative was solely for peaceful purposes.

It had not been settled in the talks that American atomic experts could operate within Iranian territory, but that was a logical implication of the consortium proposal. Officials asserted three times they had achieved a deal with Washington's diplomat the US official only for the deal to disintegrate due to "spoilers in Washington".

Current Status

Iran's diplomats said the partnership proposal was now withdrawn, but it seems quite possible the proposal could be resurrected in various formats if discussions resume.

The American leader recently stated he had been getting signals that Iran wanted to resume discussions, but privately Iranian officials state they are not yet obtaining consistent overtures from America either explicitly or from key regional mediators, such as Qatar, the Egyptian leadership, Oman and Saudi Arabia. The Tehran's diplomatic corps has been accused of non-responsiveness in the face of the US president's straightforward manner, but Iran asserts diplomacy is not part of a show.

Political Standpoint

In his address to the conference, intended to portray the US as a hegemonic power that exploits the idea of global regulations, Araghchi declared the fortnight-long engagement demonstrated the clash could not be settled by combat operations. He said the attacks started with a US demand for an total Iran submission and concluded with an absolute demand for a truce.

Iran is certain the first strikes by Israel were mounted with total Washington understanding and coordination, making faith difficult to restore.

Diplomacy Remains the Primary Answer

Araghchi stated: "Tehran was not the one that had deserted negotiations; it was America and the Western nations that had always attempted to impose their demands during the negotiations. Restoration and Recovery

In what is portrayed by Tehran representatives as the conflict of recovery and rebuilding, the foreign minister claimed he was confident Iran's security strengths "have significantly improved than prior to 13 or 14 June of this year. All our capabilities have been reestablished. We gained numerous insights from this conflict; we have identified our internal vulnerabilities and the vulnerabilities of the enemy."

He stated: "We successfully passed this engagement. Our nuclear technology, which they intended to destroy, continues to exist. The sites and equipment, if damaged, will be restored; what is important is the resolve of the Iranian people and then the social solidarity that they targeted, but were unable to shatter. The citizens of Tehran have become more powerful, more united, and more endorsing of the administration and the state in the wake of this attack."
